This is an inspiring case study of the relation of working class women’s liberation to the rank and file revolt of the 1970s. The talk recounts how women steelworkers won demands against heavy odds, and went on to build a rank and file caucus which then joined the national Steel Workers Fightback campaign. The history contains lessons for today on socialist functioning in broader rank and file work and electoral reform campaigns.
