On 1-15-09, Colibri Group of East Providence RI, suddenly and without warning shut down, locking out 280 workers. This was a violation of the Federal WARN act that requires 60 days notice be given workers or compensation. Since then Colibri workers have been protesting, demanding their rights under the law. On 3-19-09, the company held an invation only auction. The workers and supporters picketed outside.
