With Bernard Harcourt
Bernard Harcourt leads a discussion at Occupy Chicago about the realities of the so-called de-regulated free market economy.
According to Harcourt there is no such thing as a “free market” and there never has been. Laissez-faire is an illusion. In reality there is a massive regulatory framework that daily redistributes wealth to the top 1% of society. This regulatory framework has also led to the growth of a police state that is characterized by mass incarceration and pervasive repression of minorities.
