The Trump administration has given neo-Nazis, white nationalists, and the so-called “alt-right” the green light to intimidate and silence all those who oppose their aim of creating an ethnically and religiously “pure” society. Along with their allies in racist police forces and ICE, the emboldened far right has escalated its attacks on Black and Brown communities, as evidenced by the nationwide spike in hate crimes and the fatal car attack in Charlottesville last August.
